The primary purpose of the patrol division of the Charles Town Police Department is to provide for the safety and security of the residents of the city.  Patrol officer respond to requests for police services, investigate crimes, take report, investigate accidents and provide both patrol and traffic calming measures during their tour of duty.  The safety of the citizens is their primary concern.
