The Records Department provides copies of Accident and Incident Reports. Offense Reports are not made available to the public. However, you may request a related Incident Report for any Offense Report filed with the Charles Town Police Department. When an officer arrives on the scene, he/she will write an Accident Report or an Incident Report. This report is given an eight-digit identifying number. Please make a note of this number for future reference. (If you need to find out the report number, call the police department) The Records Department will provide the first page of Incident Reports free of charge at the request of the complainant, the complainant's spouse, or the parent or guardian of a juvenile complainant. The complete Accident or Incident Report can be obtained for a fee. Requests for reports can either be mailed in with the $20.00 fee or can be picked up at the Charles Town Police Department.
