City of Charles Town Municipal Court and Payment Information
You have two options to satisfy a traffic citation either payment without court appearance or court arraignment.

Payment without Court Appearance
In order to pay a traffic citation please contact the Municipal Court Clerk at City Hall at (304)-725-2311 to get the fee for the citation.

There are four ways to handle payment of traffic citations:
- In Person- visit the cashier at City Hall (101 E. Washington St.)
- Online at Pay for Charles Town Traffic Citation
- Call (877)-794-1209 to pay via credit card.
- Mail your payments to:
- City of Charles Town (ATTN: Municipal Clerk) 101 E. Washington St. P.O. Box 14 Charles Town, WV 25414

- Please note, the Post Office does not forward Court mail.
An arraignment date has been designated on the front of your citation. If you wish to have a trial, please inform the Municipal Court Clerk upon your appearance for arraignment so that a trial date can be scheduled or call the Municipal Court Clerk at (304)-725-2311.
Failure to appear for a scheduled arraignment or pay for fines within the allotted amount of time may result in a license suspension by the WV Division of Motor Vehicles or in the issuance of a capias. If a capias has been issued the offender will need to report to the Charles Town Police Department to be processed.
